Description:
WWI army green, wool, army dress or more likely battle jacket. 4 pockets, fastens down front with 5 brass buttons, which have a coat of arms on them. Shoulder epulets with 3 brass buttons, 2 of which are 4 pointed with "Tria Juncta Uno" (translation means Three make one). Covered in mud. Rip in back. Brass hooks for belt at back. Small hole under right top pocket. Ripped tag inside states "? Tailors Limited No 15 Height 5/7 5/8 Breast 35 36 Waist 31 Service Dress ?" Rip in left arm. Jacket belonged to Lieutenant Ross Alexander Gordon who served at Battle of Vimy Ridge with the 44th Lincoln and Welland Regiment.
